'Serene Cuisine' Menu 2/4/15

Welcome Back to my Kitchen

With so much interest being shown in the whole food plant-based food options that I'm offering at 'just frank', I can see that so many of you are loving not just the flavours, but also how consuming such nutrient dense food is making you feel.

The feedback has been amazing and by popular demand, I've now extended the availability of my meals to include other days of the week. This happened so much more quickly than I had anticipated, but I've embraced the growth with gusto as the word spreads to so many people who are clearly wanting these healthy dietary options in their lives.

Being an ethical vegan, all food prepared in my kitchen is meat, egg and dairy free, no exceptions.

I am still only providing a planned menu one day a week, but am now taking orders for veggie burgers, muffins, casseroles and various lentil dahls that can be delivered on other days by arrangement.

Today I spent the day in the kitchen preparing some bulk orders of veggie burgers and gluten free bliss balls for some very special customers.

Gluten-free Options

This weeks menu contains two gluten-free items which will please those of you who for various reasons, like to see this option made available. 

I will again reiterate that you please be aware that my kitchen is classed as a 'shared facility,' meaning products gluten containing  are used in it on a regular basis, and for this reason, caution should be exercised if even traces of gluten pose an issue for you.

Hello Monday

Well here we are, at the start of yet another week and it's going to be a busy day for me in the 'just frank' kitchen as I prepare some beautiful, wholesome goodies for my customers.
As I prepare special orders this morning, veggie burgers, protein balls and soup will all be underway shortly with some relaxing mood music playing in the background.

This Week's Orders

With this week being Easter week, my usual Friday meal deliveries will be on Thursday due to the Good Friday public holiday.
I hope to have the menu finalised later this afternoon and will post it here on my blog as soon as it's sorted.
With so many new folks joining the 'just frank' community over the weekend, I'm predicting a huge week which excites me no end and I thank you all for your wonderful words of encouragement and support.


With the recent changes to the way Facebook 'pages' show up in your news feed, often just liking a page doesn't guarantee that you will see every post.  Please check your settings to make sure you are receiving my posts if you are wanting to receive weekly menus and ordering info and be sure to like posts on my page regularly to ensure content continues to appear.

'Serene Cuisine' Menu 27/3/15

Welcome Back to my Kitchen

With a hint of Winter in our midst this week, I am taking what may be the last opportunity there may be this season to introduce a light and nutritious couscous salad dish to you as this week's Friday whole food plant based meal.

This delightful dish consists of a combination of beautiful fresh veggies including oven- roasted pumpkin, peas, beans, sweet corn, organic cherry tomatoes straight from the garden and fresh herbs tossed gently through a serving of light and fluffy couscous. This is accompanied by an individual serving of tangy honey and mustard dressing and two mini chickpea patties.

This week's 'sweet' item is a chunky and wholesomely nutritious slice of Date, Carrot and Walnut Loaf, perfect for a mid-afternoon snack when that 3pm energy slump arrives.

Gluten Free

As my first 'gluten free' option, (see previous blog post on my shared facility guidelines) I am also offering some mini 'bliss balls' which are packed full of fruits, nuts, seeds and a dash of coconut....nothing else.

What an interesting time I've had in the 'just frank' kitchen this week!

Last Friday's 'whole food, plant-based' lunch deliveries literally blew me away, with every meal being sold out, and many clients placing a standing order for a regular, weekly meal delivery.
The support I've received from individual members of the community as well as various business houses, has been nothing short of amazing and I am so grateful to each and every one of you for
supporting my new business venture.

Not only are the meal deliveries growing at a rapid rate, but my 'love filled' goodies are also now available at Ecologie Organics in Commercial St Mt Gambier where Sharyn, creator and visionary of the store, is very eagerly promoting my cruelty-free fare. With the first delivery of Veggie Burgers selling out within 24 hrs, I'm super excited to be lovingly preparing another batch to re-stock the fridges tomorrow. This week the store is also stocking my muffins and organic stuffed eggplant, with other goodies joining this list very soon.

As I prepare to take orders for another busy Friday of morning tea and lunch deliveries, I look forward to seeing some familiar faces from last week, as well as some 'newbies' who have just heard about my 'serene cuisine' menu.

Delivery within the city limits is free with a pick-up service also available for those of you who either live out of town, or who would just prefer to collect your order on the way home.

Special orders can be catered for such as larger quantities of burgers, soups, lentil dahls, veggie casseroles, muffins, cakes and protein balls.

My 'serene cuisine' is 100% Vegan, (no meat, eggs or dairy) and contains as high a content of organic ingredient as I can source.

I am also about to start catering for those of you who are sensitive to gluten in their diets. Please be aware that my kitchen is classed as a 'shared facility,' meaning gluten products are used in it on a regular basis and for this reason, caution should be exercised if traces of gluten pose an issue for you.

Serene Cuisine Lunch Menu

The menu for Friday's 'Serene Cuisine' healthy lunch delivery is set, and I'm ready to take your orders. All menu items are meat, egg and dairy free with the majority of their ingredients being organic.
Please refer to the previous blog post for more information.


Orders can be submitted via email @
When ordering, please include your name, products required as well as the quantity, delivery address and a contact phone number.
Deliveries can be made to either work or home and will be made between 9-11am on Friday the 20th of March.
Please have orders in by 6pm Thursday 19th of March.


This week's meal is a Bean and Chickpea Casserole served over a bed of brown rice, the sweet is a Gingerbread Muffin and I will also have Energy Balls containing oats, peanuts, coconut and dairy free choc chips as an added extra.

Introducing 'Serene Cuisine.'

As some of you will already know, I've been in the planning stages for several months of launching 'just frank's' Serene Cuisine in an attempt to expose so many more folks to the benefits of consuming a whole food, plant-based diet.
With council approvals all finalised and my kitchen now officially registered, I am up and running with morning tea and lunch deliveries having already taken place to several businesses in town in the last fortnight.
I had initially planned on introducing my range of whole food, plant-based dishes at the local farmers market in the library courtyard each Saturday morning, but the interest in the community has already enticed me to cook more than once a week and offer a pick up or delivery service as the need arises. (The market may still take place in the coming weeks.)
I am also currently in discussions with a local wholefood business regarding them stocking a range of my 'Serene Cuisine' menu items.
At this stage, while I'm testing the market, I will be having a select but ever changing range of menu items available on Friday of each week, (with a view to increasing this to incorporate other days as the need arises) either for delivery to your workplace or to your home within the city limits of Mt Gambier. If you live beyond the city limits, a pickup time can be arranged.
Last week, the menu consisted of Red Lentil Dahl w/brown rice and Pumpkin and Chocolate Chip Muffins. Several businesses ordered the muffins alone as a morning/afternoon tea while others ordered the meal and the muffin which took care of lunch as well. The meals and muffins are also able to be frozen or re-heated at home for a healthy and delicious dinner after a long week.
At this stage, my menu is predominately aimed at promoting a healthy and cruelty-free lifestyle incorporating as many organic ingredients as I can source, but I will be introducing gluten-free options as a major part of my offerings as well.
Whole cakes such as Chocolate or Orange and Poppyseed, as well as the fruit and nut filled
loaf style cakes, can be made to order, as can bulk lots of Vegetable Soup, Lentil Dahl, Vegetable Curry, and Veggie Burgers. Feel free to contact me to discuss your needs.
I will be posting more info as the weeks progress and I look forward to any feedback that you may like to offer.
This week's menu will be posted later tomorrow and orders will need to be in by 6pm on Thursday the 19th of March for a Friday delivery or pick-up. Ordering is via email @ but I will share more about this when I post tomorrow's menu.
